Hi, Verity! How long have you worked at Mannings?

I started at Mannings when I was 14, so I’ve been here quite a while!

I’ve also studied photography, taught and travelled all over the world; I even actually lived in Banff, Canada for a year or two!

What’s it like working at Mannings?

It’s so much fun working here, it’s like a big family! Working with a familiar team with everyone pulling together is a great experience, and everything always runs smoothly.

Excellent! What’s your secret to giving the special Mannings service?

At Mannings everyone strives to give the best service; we’re all super friendly and smiley. I can’t think of anywhere else where customers know our names and vice versa!

Quite often diners will come back to see specific staff, and we always love a good catch up.

How do you unwind in your spare time?

I love taking long beachy walks with Toby, my Bassett Hound; his full name is Toby Bear!

I’m also a freelance photographer, so I’m usually involved in a photo shoot of some sort!

On a night out in Truro, what would you choose from the menu and why?

I’d definitely start with a glass of Champagne; ours is simply amazing!

To eat? I’m vegetarian so I’d go for the Avocado & Manchego Salad or Tomato & Feta Tagliatelle.
