Our Favourite New Year’s Resolutions

New Year may seem like a far off prospect, but we’re offering early birds planning a stylish celebration in the city special prices if they book with us before 15/11/15.

Whether you’d just like a comfortable bedroom or apartment at our city centre base, or you want to join us for a night of dining and entertainment too, we’ve got several packages for you to see the New Year in with style!

To that end, we thought we’d talk about some of the best New Year’s resolutions to make this year:

Travel More
Here at Mannings we like nothing better than a break away or a visit to a new and exciting place—if you haven’t been to Truro for a while, why not join us for a break or dinner in the New Year?

Connect Every Day
While it may not always be easy to talk to a total stranger, making the effort to meet someone new every day can be a great way of stepping out of your comfort zone and opening yourself up to new experiences.

Make More Time for You
It’s important to make sure you have enough time for you to keep stress levels down. Giving away your time to everyone else when they need you can be tiring and so we recommend at least one night a week where you can spend time with yourself and do whatever you want. Laze and bed and watch a box set, go out into the city, go shopping, or read a book in the bath! There are also studies now to suggest that those people who are most productive are those that prioritise free time to pursue passions not related to their jobs.

Make a Regular Date Night
Date nights are important and so it’s worth sticking to them in order for you and your significant other to make time to connect. Mannings offers a special Date Night package, which gives you a contemporary, spacious apartment for the night, a £50 voucher for our delicious restaurant, a cooked breakfast in the morning and some scintillating extras to keep you entertained…

Don’t Make Unachievable Commitments
If you know you can’t meet a friend for dinner next week (or perhaps you just need some time to yourself) but you’re saying ‘maybe’ in order to put off cancelling, don’t overextend yourself, just cancel!
