Our Tasty March Mannings Specials

This month we wanted to give you a taste of our delicious specials that are making their way on to the Mannings restaurant scene in March!

Join us, and start with a bowl of traditional tom yum soup with plenty of seafood flavour, including king prawns and soft shell crab with spiced chicken. Perhaps day boat mackerel from Flying Fish will be more your style, grilled and served on a tapenade toast with a brown onion purée. If you’re in the mood for red meat, you may choose to start with Carpaccio of aged West Country beef topped with a delicious salsa Verde, watercress, aged balsamic reduction and Parmesan and red onion crisps…

The main course specials really take things up a notch….

Whether you’re keen for plump and juicy St Austell Bay Mussels traditionally cooked with Rodda’s cream and white wine… Or you’d like them Asian style with a spiced coconut sauce and artisan bread, you’ll be able to have a fresh taste of the Cornish ocean.

Our local spring lamb two ways might be the dish to tempt you, with a rich shepherds pie served with a creamy buttered mash, coupled with chargrilled lamb cutlets on a puree of spinach, pea and mint sauce Verde.

If you can’t decide between a taste of the land or sea, why not try the Mannings surf and turf? Juicy 8oz aged Cornish beef chargrilled perfectly to your liking, served with delicious and succulent garlic king prawns in a white wine beurre blanc. Chunky chips and a port wine reduction finish off the dish nicely…

Vegetarians are in for a taste sensation too with our special stuffed artichoke hearts. Filled full with a triple tomato, basil and feta cheese mousse, with a side of garlic and rosemary scented Cornish potatoes and sweet peppers, finished with a tomato coulis.

We’ve saved the best till last… Desserts are our forte. Get intimate over a Mannings chocolate meltdown sharing dessert for two. Made up of hazelnut chocolate brownie, duo of Cornish chocolate ice creams encased in a white chocolate dome… Perfect with a bitter hot chocolate sauce to indulge the taste buds.
