Simon Amstell ‘To Be Free’ review

Bounding onto the stage behind round spectacles and a floating head of trademark curls stood Simon Amstell, ready for the Cornish audience of his ‘To be Free’ tour.

The front row at a comedy gig was a risky decision, but to be within touching distance of Mr Amstell’s delightful attack on social appropriateness (covering everything from veganism to sarcastic royal fanfares) from the cerebral point of view of an intelligent, passionate and insightful individual was a absolute joy to behold.

Yes, there were some inappropriate laughs, but hey, you only live once!
